Volier & Fils

The Volier & Fils iHorn is a brass car horn made between 1905 and 1910 in Paris, but was frequently used on Model T cars.  When the automobile came into being, people were more fearful of being run over by vehicles than horse drawn buggies.  Therefore, pedestrians, animals, and horse-drawn vehicles needed to be alerted when early motorists travelled down America's rural dirt roads or urban paved streets. Brass horns were one option, along with whistles and bells, available to motorists to signal others to oncoming automobiles.  The Volier & Fils is an extremely rare horn which is simply a pleasure to the eye and the ear.
