The Apparatus iHorn is made from a L.E. Knott Aparatus Co. Student Volt Ammeter made in Boston in 1921. An ammeter (from Ampere Meter) is a measuring instrument used to measure the current in a circuit. Electric currents are measured in amperes, hence the name. By the late 19th century, improved instruments were designed which could be mounted in any position and allowed accurate measurements in electric power systems. The Apparatus iHorn uses a vintage fox hunting horn. The Apparatus is a teaching tool which reminds us that we are never to old to learn and that the world is a laboratory of fascination.
