The Argus iHorn is made from an Argus C3 Cintar camera. The flash housing serves as the bell. The Argus C3 is a metal frame camera wrapped in pseudo-leather. As originally manufactured, the C3 came in khaki or black, but the adventurous who desired self expression could personalize the C3 with after market skins. It was made between 1939 and 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It shot 35 mm film. It was probably the single largest-selling non-single-use 35mm camera in history. Over 2 million were sold during its lifetime, with its size and shape earning it the nickname of “the Brick.” Like all cameras, The Argus iHorn is a snapshot in time.
