Atlas

The Atlas  iHorn is made from an Atlas Multiple Electric Products Company paper-mache horn with a bakelite base made in 1924.  It is straight and clean.  It originally sold for $25.00, which adjusted for inflation today equates to $397.22 with a cumulative inflation rates of 1488.9%!

Little is known about the manufacturer, Multiple Electric Products Company, other than it was located in Newark, New Jersey.  However, Atlas apparently believed that consumer review advertisting was the most powerful.  In the February, 1924 Radio News publication, Atlas relied on letters from consumers attesting to the reproductive qualities of their natural reproduction loudspeakers.

The Atlas iHorn is a map of the world and of an era gone by.  It is a guiding star to navigate through the troubled seas.
