The Bell & Howell iHorn is made from a 1960 Bell & Howell 122LR 8 mm Movie Projector.  According to its charter, the Bell & Howell Company was incorporated on February 17, 1907. Historically, Bell & Howell Co. was an important supplier of many different media technologies. The firm built its name making products related to motion pictures, including cameras and projectors.  The Model 122LR was a development stage of the Filmo Projector which was first introduced in 1935.  Bell & Howell remains a viable business today. The standard 8 mm (also known as regular 8) film format was developed by the Eastman Kodak company during the Great Depression and released to the market in 1932 to create a home movie format that was less expensive than 16 mm. Kodak ceased sales of standard 8 mm film under its own brand in the early 1990s.  Music and film are conjoined twins.  The earliest movies had no sound, but were usually accompanied by live music which was attempted as synchronized with the action on the silver screen.  The first known public exhibition of projected sound films took place in Paris in 1900, but the technology took decades to perfect.  By the early 1930s, the talkies were a global phenomenon. The Bell & Howell iHorn is unique and entertaining.  So pop the corn, dim the lights, and prepare for lights, camera and action.
