The ARION iHORN is a small horn made by the Hartford Metal Products Company. The horn was made in 1925. Very little information exists regarding either the company or the horn. However, its diminutive size tells us that it is very rare based on original manufacturing numbers. Small radio horns were purchased only by the ultra rich who could afford to have such speakers in other than their main parlor. Thus, compared to the larger diameter horns, the original manufacturing numbers were in a ratio of 1:50,000 (taking into consideration the collective industry). Thus, these smaller diameter horns fetch a premium in the collecting world.Historically, Arion was a Greek poet, who is associated with the Greek Tragedies. The Arion iHorn is not tragic but rather a survivor whose size belies the power of its punch.
