The Casige iHORN is made from a vintage hand sewing machine, which may have been a functional toy. It is the first sewing machine iHorn and was probably made in the 1940s.
Casige started out making piano locks. However, a year after Queen Victoria’s death in 1901, Casige who was a German manufacturer was asked to make small sewing machines for schools. The company survived two world wars and a span of over 70 years! It ceased making toys in 1975.
The Casige iHorn honors the craft of sewing – a noble pass time which clothes the world.
