The GMC iHORN is made from a 1930-1940s GMC Instrument Cluster which is coupled with a small fox hunting horn.  General Motors was founded by Billy Durant in 1908 as a holding company.  Durant was averse to automobiles, but fellow Flint businessman James H. Whiting, owner of Flint Wagon Works, sold him the Buick Motor Company in 1904.  Shortly thereafter he formed GM.  The company is the largest American automobile manufacturer, and the fourth largest in the world behind ToyotaVolkswagen, and Hyundai. At its peak GM had a 50% market share in the United States and was the world's largest automaker from 1931 through 2007.  This dash is very art deco in appearance.

The GMC iHORN is for the automobile enthusiast who has an appreciation for the history of American automotive manufacturing and a flare for the vintage.  It is automotive, strong and melodic.  As a 1958 GMC advertisement said, “The beauty is “free” – you just pay for ability.”
