The Double Bell
The Double Bell iHorn is made from a automobile bulb horn. It is Model T Era. A "bulb horn" is operated by squeezing a rubber bulb attached to a metal horn, producing a single note through a metal reed. The Model T was produced by Ford Motor Company from 1908 to 1927. The production of the Model T was responsible for the creation of assembly line manufacturing. The standard 4-seat open tourer of 1909 cost $850; in 1913, the price dropped to $550 and $440 in 1915. Sales were 69,762 in 1911; 170,211 in 1912; 202,667 in 1913; 308,162 in 1914; and 501,462 in 1915. By the 1920s, the price had fallen to $260 because of increasing efficiencies of assembly line technique and volume. By 1915, Model T's came equipped with a Klaxon "aw-ooga" horn. Therefore, the bulb horn was only used between 1908 and 1915, making this horn approximately 100 years old. The Double Bell is small but dynamic. Travel safely.
