Half Mile

The Half Mile  iHorn is made from a Half Mile nautical spot light made by Ray Marine Craft.  This was probably made in the 1930s to 1940s.  The company began as a division of the American company Raytheon, a manufacturer of defense systems, when it launched its first echo depth sounder in 1923.  The half mile was aptly named because it would launch a light beam ½ mile.  Made for the sailor in you, and as a reminder, that even on dry land we can have a man overboard.  So keep the life preserver close, and whenever necessary, cast a light on the subject.
