The Herald

The Herald iHorn is made from a Herald Electric Company Model B paper mache horn with a cast iron base.  Herald Electric Company was located in New York City, with its factory on East End Avenue. The paper mache horn produces a wonderful even sound.  The Herald was made in 1924.   In its first year of production, The Herald sold for $30.00.  If adjusted for inflation with a cumulative inflation rate of 1404.9% since 1924, that $30.00 purchase price would now be $451.48.  The production of The Herald apparently was only for a two year period of time.

The Herald iHorn is like an official messenger bringing the news and is clearly a sign of things to come.  As we walk into the future, we are reminded that the past is a window into the future.
