Kjobhavns Telefon

The Kjobenhavns Telefon iHorn is made from a 1940’s Kjobehavns Telefone which was a table top hard wired telephone.  It’s patina screams shabby chic.  In 1882 Carl Frederick Tietgen form the Kjobhavns Telefon-Selskab (Copenhagen Telephone Company).  By 1896, there were public telephone kiosks in Copenhagen.  At about the same time, telephones in Denmark were nationalized forming a monopoly.  Despite this fact, this company was still in business in 2019 when it became the TDC Group which provided both network and telecommunications services.  The Kjobenhavns Telefon was part of a century old international communications revolution which has never slowed down.  Sit down, dial up a loved one, and share some words of kindness and love.
