The Kodak Stereo iHorn is made from a Kodak Stereo 35 mm camera, using the flash housing for the amplification on a mini-tripod base. It was made between 1954 and 1959. The camera took twin photos of the same image requiring a dedicated viewer to see the images. Approximately 100,000 units were sold over its life of production. The initial price was $84.50 and the camera was an immediate success. But as quickly as it was introduced, the consumers passion for stereo cameras was fading. After 1955, the market for stereo cameras was in a bifocal downward spiral until it faded into obscurity. Regardless, it has an appearance of animation. Like all iHorns, it is a snapshot in time.
