The Kodak Timer iHORN is made from an Eastman Kodak Darkroom Timer made in the 1950s which is coupled with a small fox hunting horn. To the best of my knowledge, the Kodak Timer remains fully functional.
The Eastman Kodak Company was founded in 1888. During most of the 20th century, Kodak held a dominant position in photographic film. As late as 1976, Kodak commanded 90% of film sales and 85% of camera sales in the U.S. Kodak began to struggle financially in the late 1990s, as a result of the decline in sales of photographic film and its slowness in transitioning to digital photography. In January 2012, Kodak filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Kodak emerged from the bankruptcy, smaller but more in tune with current technology and continues as a successful enterprise today.
The Kodak Timer iHorn kept time which is now forgotten. So put down your email, texts and calendar and take a minute for yourself.
