The Amberola X iHORN is made from an Edison Victrola Phonograph, Amberola series. These were manufactured between 1911 and approximately 1926, when the Edison company failed. This horn was an internal speaker housed inside the Victrola wooden cabinet. The horn contains its original wood painted finish, which was used only until 1920, when technology developed to incorporate fabric on the face of the horn, precluding it being visible and obviating the need to replicate the grain of the cabinet. The horn has not been refurbished. While fairly compact in size, The Amberola X packs a wallop of volume and tone.
