Military Bendix

The Military Bendix is made from a vintage Bendix Westinghouse Air horn.  It’s paint scheme indicates it’s use was on a military vehicle.  The Westinghouse Air Brake Company was formed in 1869 and Bendix Corporation was formed in 1930.  Both were famous automotive manufacturers, with emphasis on brake systems.  The approximate age of these iHorns is in the 1940s.  The Military Bendix conjures up kids on a family road trip signaling to big rig drivers to sound their horns and the joy that comes to all from a little toot.
