Sleeper Serenader

The Sleeper Serenader  iHORN  is made between 1921 and 1929 by the Sleeper Radio Corporation.  It was the internal radio horn for a tablemodel box radio.  It was never designed to be seen as it was housed inside the radio.  The Sleeper Radio Corporation of Long Island City, New York was in business from 1919 to 1929.   It was founded by Milton Blake Sleeper.  The company merged with Temple Corporation in 1929.  Ultimately, Milton became a wolf of wall street brokering stocks and then moved into aviation.  Milton Sleeper was considered a pioneer of FM radio.  Ultimately, The Sleeper Serenader iHorn is a one-of-a-kind piece that is more edgey today than at any time in its past.
