The Snake iHorn is made using a bulb horn from a Ford Model T automobile era. The Snake is modeled after a Cobre and is sometimes referred to as a Cobre Horn. These horns when complete at auction can sell for over 1000 £. The Model T was produced by Ford Motor Company from 1908 to 1927. The production of the Model T was responsible for the creation of assembly line manufacturing. The standard 4-seat open tourer of 1909 cost $850; in 1913, the price dropped to $550 and $440 in 1915. Sales were 69,762 in 1911; 170,211 in 1912; 202,667 in 1913; 308,162 in 1914; and 501,462 in 1915. By the 1920s, the price had fallen to $260 because of increasing efficiencies of assembly line technique and volume. By 1915, Model T's came equipped with a Klaxon "aw-ooga" horn. Therefore, the bulb horn was only used between 1908 and 1915, making this horn approximately 100 years old. The Snake is small but dynamic and rare. Travel safely.
