The Brandes Table Talker iHorn is made from a 1924 Brandes Table Talker speaker.  In 1924, the Brandes Table Talker sold for $10.00.  Adjusted for inflation, the current initial selling price would equate to $142.00 with a cumulative inflation rate of 1311%!  The Brandes Products Corporation was located in Newark, New Jersey.  It was founded in Canada in 1908 and ceased operations in 1926 after being acquired by another company.  Ultimately, once absorbed, the former Brandes Products Corporation facilities were used to manufacture headphones, which were invented by Nathaniel Baldwin in Salt Lake City.  This fiber board horn was favored by manufacturers because they were light weight and inexpensive to manufacture.  The Brandes Table Talker is reflects the passing of time and the wisdom of the day.  It shows that endurance is a trait which is under valued, and that with years comes experience and perspective that can only be a benefit by taking the time to sit and quietly listen to the Table Talk.
