The Galaxie 500

The Galaxie 500 iHORN is made from a Ford Motor Company Ford Fairlane 500 Instrument Cluster and a vintage Model A car horn.  Together, they are sleek and fast, producing a roaring sound, which built Ford tough!

Ford Motor Company was founded on June 16, 1903. Ford would go on to become one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world, surviving the Great Depression. It is the largest family-controlled company in the world for over 110 years. Ford was immediately profitable, with profits by October 1, 1903 of almost $37,000.  The Galaxie was sold between 1959 and 1974.  The Galaxie 500 was actually a rebranding of the Fairlane 500, carrying the badges of both the Galaxie and Fairlane in 1959. 

The Galaxie 500 iHORN conjurs up Ford’s 1950’s advertisting slogan, which remains as relevant today as it was then – “There’s a Ford in your future . . . with a future built in!”  As Confucious so aptly stated, “Study the past if you would define the future.”  Today, as always, Ford is built tough, surviving the test of time, and building upon a past to define its future.  The Galaxie 500 iHORN does exactly the same, blending past and present technology, the old and the new, the past and the future.
