The Martin

The Martin  iHORN is made from an antique brass British rudimentary reedless brass instrument.  Martin Signal Horns were all multi-horns.  Originally, the company made railway signaling horns, moving then into the automotive field.  Valves were added to make simple musical instruments, which occurred in 1907.  These instruments were popularized as band instruments by the Communist party in Germany in the 1920s.  While this sorted political history is perhaps distasteful, history often is so.  Merely because we might like it to be different, as Ernest Hemingway said in the final line of Sun Also Rises, “Isn’t it pretty to think so?”
