The Shovelhead

The Shovelhead iHorn is made a Harley Davidson Shovelhead instrument cluster coupled with a vintage bicycle horn.  This instrument cluster may also have fit on a panhead and/or ironhead.  The Shovelhead was made from 1966 to 1984.  It was the successor to the Panhead.  These engines ran hot, but they had problems, including substantial oil consumption, a quart every 250 to 500 miles.  However, when the Shovelhead was installed in the FX Super Glide, with a chopper look, it expanded the motorcycle scene to a broader audience.  The engines are used today by classic motorcycle enthusiasts.    In the end, The Shovelhead iHorn is made for the open road.
