University

The University iHorn is made from a University Sound Tweeter, which was made in the 1960s.  University Sound was founded in New York City in 1936, taking its name from its original location across the street from New York University. The company quickly became a pioneer in horn-loaded loudspeakers.  By 1970, University Sound was merged into Altec Lansing Corporation.  Today, vintage University Sound equipment is heavily sought after by audio enthusiasts. The University is a wonderful piece which is minimalist but spatial.  It represents a time of turmoil, unpopular war, and massive societal change.  So sit back and enjoy a period which revolutionized the world and set a course of change from which there was no turning back and to which we have never reached its end.
