The Victor VIC III iHorn is an antique phonograph horn from a Victor Talking Machine VIC III, which was made between 1903 and 1905. Victor was the leading American producer of phonographs and records & one of the leading phonograph companies in the world at the time. Victor had the trademark rights to use the image of the dog listening to the phonograph. The Victor III was a very popular mid-range external horn phonograph in Victor's early product lineup. The Victor III offered a lot of value for the money. It sold new for $40.00, which equates to approximately $1,200.00 in today's money. This stamped steel and brass horn was standard.
The Victor VIC III iHorn is a centurian which shows its age but still produces the loud and melodic sound for which it was originally produced. It is American craftsmanship at its finest. It is a stately iHorn which sings of pride in the reality of “Made in America.” It was a talking machine because today, perhaps more than ever, connecting through communication is one of the keys to happiness.
