Vocaloud

The Vocaloud iHorn is made from a 1921 Vocaloud cabinet horn speaker.  The avocado green is original.  The Vocaloud was manufactured by John Firth & Co. (FIRCO) in New York, New York.  John Firth immigrated to New York from England in 1810, serving in the War of 1812.  After the war, Firth became a musical instrument maker and music publisher.  Ultimately, the company taken over by the senior Firth’s son, moved into Radio, best known for his innovative Vocaloud loudspeaker.  The Vocaloud is a semi-circular amplifying horn which is literally shaped like the human ear.  In addition, FIRCO was the primary distributor for Nathaniel Baldwin’s mica-diaphram telephone headsets.  The Vocaloud iHorn is unique, subtle, and can hear you.
